Night of the Star

Aysha's Dance Recital
Camera was hard to focus at 8:30 pm, street lighting was no help in background.
Took 22 pictures of different poses of her own making and she really didn't mind
I think she could be a model with that kind of patience?
Sister, Mercede and Mother Gayla with the Star.
Dad, Mike had to be ready to go work and Ce Ce did not make it.
Of course We Grandparents have to get in to the pictures too.

Thanks for the Mother's Day Call

I really enjoyed your calling and visiting with you!

Since your Mother had gone over to Aunt Juanita, and I was here alone, you both called and I had you all to my self.

Maybe you should call back on Fathers Day so mom will not feel left out and talk to her. LOL

Love you Both Dad

The Hunt for Morel Mushrooms

The Injuries of the Hunt
A few wild rose bushes thorns and big thorns from black locust trees jabbing legs, arms and back plus one black locust thorn on the ground did penetrate my leather boot and got me in my arch of foot! I'm finding out it is harder to pick up your feet the older one gets and had it not been for the handy cane I use for mushroom hunting. I probably would have rolled in those wild rose bushes?
But I did find a Morel.

Are You Ready For This
It stood at least an inch high! All this for 2 hours in the woods almost
makes a grown man CRY!

Civil War Reenactment at French Bottoms

Glad the train had stopped just to the right and not in picture on this one!

The costumes were of the time. The actors put a lot of money and time in. The Man here had 15 horses and said he was going to have to retire this one. There were vendors with wares to sell from bees wax candles to dress and hats plus Salve for unmentionable places!
Union wagon train and artillery
Confederates on left and Union on right but the Union lost today but will return tomorrow with a different out come. In center back ground tents where the soldiers lived and set up the way it would have been then for people to see.
Infantry coming behind the wagon train, hate to say it they out numbered the confederates. There is that train.
Confederates stetting up their battle line.
Noise level was high 3 Confederates cannons and 4 Union and they did not just fire once!
What is a war with out a smoke ring?
The only thing missing was the whistling of a canon ball.
Union Scout is shot.

At the end the dead arose.

Skinny Dipping, "I Don't Think So"

Might be into a pan of Hot Grease!
Gayla said she had not had any Frog Legs since she was a kid? But thought our grand kids would enjoy them! I was wondering how gross I should make them so Cole would eat them? Remembering the Mountain Oysters in Colorado? But all the grand kids had better get here to try them before we eat the rest up. These are larger than what I got when eating out.

Remember When?

All most every one had to have a 2 Way.

Especially to keep from getting speeding tickets. You were to give your call numbers which was your license number also, which very few did. Seems like the Names are still fitting with the more advanced technology?
