A Kiskadee do da day

Took one orange and put in tree and did not take long till one Kiskadee arrived
and started calling and three showed up.

They are a family of the Flycatcher Did not see him eat any of the orange? But below in the next two pictures he is eating some thing like a mix of Peanut Butter and I did not notice at the time but had a grape in his beak. Ya and they say I have a big mouth?

Notice the grapes stuck on the thorns of the tree.

Always need a drink from a little pool. They were flying around not staying in one place to long.
Mocking Bird was getting ready for his night? Could hardly see him back in the shrubbery.

Some different Shots Today

Sitting on fence post was a Crested Cara Cara, Bird of Prey.

OK, I don't believe it my self but here is the picture and Viola saw it too>
A Rabbit climbing a tree limb about 2 1/2 Feet off the ground.
I saw a video of a rabbit chasing a snake so what else will these Texas Bunnies do?
I said some different shots? Under that limb is head of alligator. Just with his eyes up and nose out of the water, he had submerged just before picture and was heading for the frog and when I took this the frog did a double back-flip out of there.

Some of the scenery along the Bay.

Just like I would be Rememberd , Don Rafael Garcia

Don Rafael Garcia
Was 1st settler of Port Isabel
They put his face on Sewer Cover!
Course you can see it if your looking down and then every one steps on you.
Still it's better than being crapped on.

Freddy Fender's Memorial at San Bendito

The above are self explanatory but below is some thing special and tragic.
When I was looking the grave over and Viola was wondering what had happen to the two Girls? A Lady and her young daughter
came up
, Viola asked if they knew what had happened to the two young women?
The mother said some thing to her daughter in Spanish with tears in her eyes.
Her daughter said to us that her sisters were hit by a drunk driver and one had lived for 3 months longer then passed away. One was 21 and the other was 16.

I told them was sorry for their lost!
I went on taking pictures though the grave yard, they sat in mourning on the bench they had there. They sat for half an hour or more and as they went to their car and drove by waved to us.
o

Seems funny the old with the new graves and some time previous some of the old markers were Vandalized. Some you could not read for the weather is rough on every thing.

The top cross broken off the top of an old stone. It is of a "Supreme Woodsman"

A fairly new grave setting with a design of a White Dove with a seating area.

Back at the back a stone with the markings of "Woodsmen of the World Memorial"
Elias Worley 1871 to 1915
Viola's Grandfather Sweet was a Woodsman also, had his picture with uniform and axe. That may not have been it looked Woodsmen up and it is a Life Ins Co.

Some stones are blocked by trees growing up and limbs falling down from ice storm and City was in cleaning up.

All styles of graves and colors.
.

I imagine he like Horses or rode them he was only 15.

Two old Vaults one top is missing and the other starting to crack. No dates or names.

The Vaults at the back one was dated 1925 one was level with the ground.
Some one place an old doll on this a Texas State shape. a cross and a head stone in the ground no markings.

A Family burial plot all gated in.

Padre on a windy and cool day

This man had a wind breaker or a place to change his clothes?
Just a little opening on one side.
The pipe in back ground, they are pumping sand and building the beach up.

Viola was picking up shells, I just liked looking at the different ones.
Looking at the holes in this one wonder where the worms went?
Also how the water ran over them and back to sea carving the sand out.
Only two out in water, pretty cool out only in low 60s.
He's only up for a second and the other one never made it still down.

Over on the Jetty behind him, two years ago the Coast Guard pulled two Spring Breakers up that had drown when caught in a riptide.

There are a larger population of Rosetta Spoonbills.

Water Main broken while gone.

If Steve had not gone out to clear the snow the plow had pushed in front of his drive it may have ran for a long time under the snow. With the possibility of cutting our new driveway and curb we had put in The Pictures were taken by Steve & Joanie Schomburg. Our Guardian Angels for the day.

All that water could have cut the street out plus or yard and drive.

Like the ladder coming up from where? lol
Looks like the Snow has settled a couple of feet on the drifting along wall ?

Catch me a Parrot and bring it home!

We went out to get grocery's at Wal-mart <>we go out to eat. Setting at the Long-Horn Cattle Co Restaurant (hoping know one would hear her) she yelled look at the parrots on that tree limb. Oh ya give me a break (looking in to the sun) I could not see any color to the two small birds, probably woodpeckers the way they were moving on the limb? We get back home see large bird on pole by our trailer hard to tell but she said is that a Parrot?

Well I did believe her when she said there is your woodpecker hanging up side down on your hummingbird feeder. But before I could get my camera (no time to change lens) this is what I got though the front door.
While typing this she said look a hummingbird. Ah a good day for the birds! lol
